The ADCC newcomer Adele Fornarino beat Mayssa Bastos. a five-time IBJJF World Champion in thrillinf fashion on Aug. 17 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Fornarino advanced in the  -55KG ADCC World Championship bracket.

 The Australian won by referee decision in overtime.

Fornarino recently competed at the WNO 24 and won against Ana Rodriguez, who is also in the -55kg women's division. 

Rodriguez moved on to the semifinals round at the 2024 ADCC World Championship. 

Fornarino looks to compete against one of the favorites in the -55kg women's division, Jasmine Rocha.
