After an intense day 1, the ADCC World Championships are back, live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada! Following a slew of upsets and submission-packed action on day one of the 2024 ADCC World Championships, day two will see competitors secure their positions on the ADCC podium and the featured superfight between reigning champions Gordon Ryan and Yuri Simoes. ADCC Championship Superfight

Pure dominance from the King! After an early takedown, Ryan waited until the points period began to attempt to pass Simoes's guard. Going on to rack up twenty-one points over Simoes, Ryna fought off a late straight ankle lock attack to win his second straight Superfight and become a seven-time ADCC Champion! The stage has now been set for the long-awaited Superfight between Gordon Ryan and Kaynan Duarte at the 2026 ADCC World Championships!

ADCC Absolute Division Finals | Gold Medal Matches

Kaynan Duarte vs Roberto Abreu | Men's Absolute Championship

Eerily reminiscent of their -99kg semifinal match, Cyborg shot in deep on a double leg single, and Kaynan jumped on an arm-in guillotine to become the absolute division champion and a 2024 ADCC World Championships double gold medalist! Duarte will advance to the 2026 ADCC World Championships Superfight where he will face the winner of Gordon Ryan vs Yuri Simoes's Superfight.

Adele Fornarino vs Bia Mesquita | Women's Absolute Championship

After an early takedown from Bia Mesquita, Adele Fornarino put her closed-guard offense to work, throwing up an armbar before switching to a reverse triangle. Riding out the match with a triangle locked, Adele Fornarino is now a 2024 ADCC World Championships double gold medalist and is the first woman to achieve the feat since 2007!

Giancarlo Bodoni vs Dante Leon | Men's Absolute

In a tight bout with no points scored, Dante Leon caps his absolute division run by defeating -88kg ADCC Champion Giancarlo Bodoni. Electing to sit to guard from the start, Leon found his way to several leg attacks, but Bodoni's defense ultimately proved too tough to crack.

As fast as lightning, Fornarino gets the sub! After Basilio opened up the fight with a trip, she stood from closed guard, where Fornarino found an armlock for the mid-air finish!

Helena Crevar vs Ana Carolina Vieira | Women's -65kg Final

After a scoreless regulation period, Ana Carolina Vieira used an arm triangle to pass Helena's guard and get to mount in overtime. After Crevar recovered, Vieira passed again to solidify her win and first ADCC World Championship gold medal.

Diogo Reis vs Diego Pato | Men's -66kg Final

In a tactical shootout, Diogo "Baby Shark" Reis waded through an onslaught of leg attacks from Pato as he attempted to get past the AOJ representative's guard. Bursting through with five minutes remaining in the match, Diogo shot straight to side control and locked up an arm triangle choke to win his second straight ADCC Championship gold medal!

In a thrilling back-and-forth battle between generations, Mica Galvao utilized a slick ankle pick to takedown and submit Vagner Rocha to win his first ADCC gold medal in the final minute of the match!

Giancarlo Bodoni vs Jay Rodriguez | Men's -88kg Final

Battling furiously from the start, Bodoni and Rodriguez threw out the kitchen sink for all twenty minutes, with Bodoni ultimately taking control in the points period, scoring twice from back takes and again by achieving mount in the closing seconds of the bout. Bodoni is now a two-time ADCC champion!

After falling in the finals in 2022, Rafaela Guedes earned her redemption this year, breaking through and scoring a takedown in the final minutes to defeat Nathiely de Jesus and win her first ADCC gold medal!

  • Gordon Ryan vs. Felipe Pena ADCC Super Fight is expected to be at 8 p.m. 

Aug 18: 

  • ADCC World Championship Semifinal matches begin at 1 p.m. 
  • ADCC World Championship Bronze Medal matches are expected to start at 2 p.m.
  • ADCC World Championship Gold Medal matches are expected to start at 2:40 p.m. 
  • ADCC World Championship Absolute Division is expected to start at 6:30 p.m.
