The brackets this year separated teammates out so that they must be in the same side of the bracket, meeting no later than the semifinals - a change from past years where they had to meet by the quarters. 

Brackets were announced this evening at the venue with all athletes in attendance. For athlete reactions to their draws and much more, check out our full ADCC collection. Action is expected to kick off tomorrow at 10am local time with first round action. 

Saturday will feature the first round and quarterfinals, as well as the super fight between Super Fight Champion Gordon Ryan and Felipe Pena.

• ADCC World Championship First Round matches begin at 1:45 p.m. 
• ADCC World Championship Quarterfinals are expected to start around 5 p.m. 
• Gordon Ryan vs. Felipe Pena ADCC Super Fight is expected to be at 8 p.m. 

Aug 18: 

• ADCC World Championship Semifinal matches begin at 1 p.m. 
• ADCC World Championship Bronze Medal matches are expected to start at 2 p.m.
• ADCC World Championship Gold Medal matches are expected to start at 2:40 p.m. 
• ADCC World Championship Absolute Division is expected to start at 6:30 p.m.
• ADCC World Championship Absolute Division Medal Rounds are expected to start at 8:30 p.m.
