Diego Pato, the first double WNO champion, firmed his status as the No.1 featherweight after submitting Fabricio Andrey at WNO 24 on june 20.

The Year of The Duck continues. 

Diego Pato, the WNO Featherweight and Lightweight Champion, defended his Featherweight crown by submitting the No. 3 Featherweight in the world, Fabricio Andrey at WNO 24 on June 20 at the Palmer Event Center in Austin, Texas. 

In what had been called the "People's Main Event" and possible ADCC Worlds 2024 finals preview, Pato used a rear naked choke with three minutes remaining. Judges had favored Andrey at one point in the match, but then Pato changed the momentum in the final five minutes before submitting Andrey.  

WNO 24 is the third Who's Number One of 2024 and one of the last major events before the ADCC World Championships on Aug. 17 and 18 in Las Vegas. The WNO 24 card features 10 current ADCC Trials champions and 12 overall.
