In the co-main event of the evening, Nick Rodriguez was able to secure the win over the reigning IBJJF World No-Gi Absolute Champ Roberto Jimenez, using a pair of arm drags as well as a body triangle in overtime to score and earn the W. After the match, he called out Victor Hugo, Kaynan Duarte, Nicholas Meregali, and Mason Fowler - a list of world-class contenders who would all be good matchups.
Nicholas Meregali was once again able to submit a top opponent in no-gi, this time facing ADCC Champion Matheus Diniz. Meregali was able to get top position after Dinis transitioned from a shot to a guard pull, then Nicholas passed to the back, secured the body triangle, and sunk in the rear naked choke. After the match, he proclaimed himself the best in the sport and called out the B-Team's Craig Jones & Nick Rodriguez for matches.
Mason Fowler and Pedro Marinho met in the night's first ten-minute feature match and it was Fowler picking up the win after converting a single leg takedown to points in OT, then mounting and submitting the world-ranked #1 205lb grappler with an arm triangle. After the match, he called out Nick Rodriguez for a future contest.
Victor Hugo took the mats and shined bright again, as the recent WNO main eventer won by submission over ADCC medalist Roosevelt Sousa in just under 4 minutes. After the match, Victor called out one of grappling's best heavyweights, Nicholas Meregali.
Ronaldo Junior defeated Kody Steele in a bout that lived up to the expected intensity. It was Ronaldo who was able to dictate the most, especially early with a sweep and near back-take on the always scrappy Kody. The judge's had to give their first decision of the evening on a close battle.
In the earliest bouts of the evening, it was all submissions with competitors bringing the action. Gigi Canuto submitted UFC veteran Denise Gomes with a heel hook only moments before the regulation period ended, Shane Shapiro beat the more experienced Ben Eddy with an arm triangle after a very impressive showing for his top game & passing, and Raquel Canuto returned to competition successfully with a rear naked choke victory over UFC's Karol Rosa.
