The absolute grand prix will spotlight several reigning ADCC and IBJJF Champions, including stars like Kaynan Duarte, Giancarlo Bodoni, Elder Cruz, and Roosevelt Souza, in an 8-man no-gi showdown. In the superfights, phenom Kade Ruotolo makes his black belt debut in the gi, and in IBJJF competition against specialist Natan Chueng, while veteran and recent IBJJF European Champion Mauricio Oliveira aims to dethrone two-time IBJJF World Champion Tainan Dalpra. With additional top competitors like Andy Murasaki, Jamil Hill-Taylor, and Zach Kaina entering the fray, the 2024 IBJJF Absolute No-Gi Grand Prix is set to be an event you don't want to miss!

Relinquishing no points to his opponents during the grand prix, Kaynan landed a hard-fought takedown from a rear bodylock before settling in half guard to defeat Bodoni and win the 2024 IBJJF Absolute No-Gi Grand Prix!

Bringing the high-flying energy, skill, and showmanship that has accompanied his journey, Kade Ruotolo took down Natan Chueng twice with an added Estima lock attempt to secure the victory in his black belt debut!

Putting on a show with his lightning-fast movement and guard passing, Murasaki lit up the crowd when he passed from half guard to mount, then locked in an armbar for the finish!

Giancarlo Bodoni vs Pedro Rocha | Grand Prix Semifinal | 10 min

Electing to pull guard after an eye poke, Bodoni found his groove against Rocha, keeping a stubborn situp guard as he searched for attack entries. Eventually picking up penalty points and sweeping Rocha, Bodoni advances to the finals, where Duarte sits,

Holding his opponents scoreless through the Grand Prix, Kaynan edged out Leon, sweeping to the top position before applying steady pressure from top half-guard.

Jackson Nagai vs Sandrey Silva | Superfight | 10 min

Using his experience to gut through a gritty fight, Jackson Nagai executed an excellent strategy setting up his guard pulls and found his way to several near sweeps and triangle attempts on the rookie black belt Silva.

Jamil Hill-Taylor vs Zach Kaina | Superfight | 10 min

With most of the action saved for the closing minutes, Hill-Taylor and Kaina exchanged sweeps back and forth as Kaina sought to find a way to erase a penalty deficit. Scoring an advantage after forcing Hill-Taylor to turtle in the final moments, Kaina brought home the win!

In a wild opening sequence, Rocha attempted a jumping guillotine, to which Sousa countered with a rear naked choke.  Rocha then used the threat of his guillotine en route to a near-pass advantage to secure his spot in the semifinals.

Coming down to the wire, Leon found a late outside heel hook attempt as Cruz tried to pass, securing an advantage for the victory.
