About a week ago, Adele Fornarino was not on the WNO 22 card. On Feb. 9, she made history in Costa Mesa, California. 

The Australian grappler replaced injured Ffion Davies, the WNO Flyweight champion, in a match against Tubby Alequin. 

She made the most of it. Fornarino used an aoki lock in her WNO debut to score the fastest submission in WNO history for a female grappler.

She needed just 23 seconds to beat Alequin, who may have suffered a leg injury in the match. 

The submission tied Nicky Ryan's submission of Tony Ramos in 2020. Ryan used a heel hook. Alequin had the sixth-fastest time in WNO history with a win over Jessa Khan in 2021.
