Mica is fresh off of a 2023 that saw him win both fight of the year and submission of the year, and claim the WNO Welterweight Championship. We last saw Mica in IBJJF competition at the 2022 Worlds, where he won his division but was later stripped for an adverse result in testing.
Mica made his successful IBJJF return last year, entering and winning several tournaments in Brazil. This, however, will be his biggest IBJJF in years and the division is full of talented black belts. He will have top competitors like Andy Murasaki and Tarik Hopstock in his division - and a good chance to double gold as well.
