Top heavyweight contenders Nick Rodriguez and Victor Hugo will meet in the main event of WNO 22: Rodriguez vs Hugo, streaming live from Costa Mesa, CA on Feb. 9. This will mark Rodriguez's first match as a black belt, and he is taking on one of the best in the world, 2023 IBJJF Worlds open class champion Hugo.

This will also mark Rodriguez's first WNO match since his short notice appearance against Felipe Pena in early 2023. Rodriguez is a two-time ADCC finalist and one of the leaders of the B-Team gym in Austin, TX. He is currently ranked no.6 in the world at heavyweight by FloGrappling and was most recently in action at the UFC FPI defeating ADCC Open Class Champion Yuri Simoes.

Victor Hugo also comes into this match off the momentum of a win at UFC FPI, where he defeated Dan Manasoiu by armlock. The Six Blades athlete has won an IBJJF World open class championship in both gi and no-gi and is an ADCC Worlds veteran. He is currently ranked no.10 in the world at heavyweight.

Hugo and Rodriguez will headline a card that features three title fights. All of the action will be going down in Costa Mesa, CA on Feb. 9 - streaming exclusively on FloGrappling. Prelim card will be announced soon.
