Ffion Davies will return to WNO to defend her 125lb championship on Feb. 9, when she takes on top contender Amanda "Tubby" Alequin in Costa Mesa, CA.

No.1-ranked Davies's last title defense was an intense contest with Jasmine Rocha, with Davies winning the 15-minute decision after a fiery press conference. She is also fresh off of a double gold performance at the IBJJF World No-Gi Championships, submitting Gabi McComb in the last match to cement herself at the top.

Alequin was most recently in action at Tezos WNO 18, defeating ADCC Trials winner Alex Enriquez. Tubby is one of the best female grapplers in the world, winning ADCC Trials, IBJJF No-Gi Worlds & Pans, and defeating some of the best in the world at her weight. She first rose to notoriety when facing Gabi Garcia at the ADCC World Championships, taking the much larger champion to a closely contested decision.
The full card will be announced in the upcoming few weeks as we draw closer to the event, with some of the sport's biggest stars and interesting matchups expected from top to bottom.
