ADCC has announced the newest member of the 2024 ADCC Hall of Fame class; 1999 champion and 3-time medalist Jean Jacques Machado. Jean Jacques will join Xande Ribeiro in the 2024 class. The announcement was made this morning on ADCC's social media.

Jean Jacques won the -77kg division in 1999 with all submissions (4 rear naked chokes), including defeating top MMA fighters Caol Uno and Hayato Sakurai. He would go on to place second in the -77kg division in 2000 and in the absolute in 2001, defeating much larger opponents like Marcio 'Pe De Pano' Cruz and Ricardo Almeida.

As a fighter, Machado was known for his advanced technical knowledge and tenacity. The induction ceremony will take place at the T-Mobile arena as a part of the 2024 World Championships.
