In ten minute EBI matches, Ryan defeated JB Betchtloff, Kade Tsitos, Oliver Taza, and PJ Barch in consecutive bouts with submissions through the first two rounds. Ryan was most recently in action at the ADCC East Coast Trials where he made it to the quarterfinals before losing to eventual runner-up Elder Cruz in an exciting competitive clash.
The bracket was 16-man single elimination and included some really notable names like PJ Barch, Oliver Taza, Davis Asare, Hunter Colvin, and Chris Wojcik, but it was Aitken who emerged victorious.
That wasn't the only action of the evening, as Main Character hosted several super fights and crowned a new 125lb champion when Sophia Cassella defeated Jasmine Rocha in an upset to claim gold. Cassella scored her win with an armbar submission in overtime.
