The 8x World Champion is set to be inducted at the 2023 IBJJF World Championships, ten months after his death.
Today the IBJJF announced that it will induct Leandro Lo, 8-time black belt world champion, into the federation's Hall Of Fame at this year's World Championships - less than 10 months after the legendary black belt was killed.

The federation made the announcement on Lo's birthday. He would have turned 34.
Leandro Lo had one of Brazilian jiu-jitsu's greatest careers, where he didn't just win every major gi tournament in the world - he did it multiple times. With eight world championships, eight Pan American championships, three Brazilian national championships, and two European championships, Leandro was an elite competitor who inspired thousands with his matches.
Leandro Lo holds a record in IBJJF titles. He has won more world titles in different weight classes than any other athlete in the federation's history. His eight world titles span across five separate weight classes.
