Tackett Brothers Win, Tanabe Beats Couch At Unrivaled2
William Tackett outscored co-ADCC veteran Kenta Iwamoto. Andrew Tackett earned a quick submission from a flurry. Igor Tanabe submitted Jacob Couch in Japan.
Three prominent Americans in the no-gi world challenged three local athletes in an innovative ruleset at Unrivaled2, held in Tokyo this Saturday, February 25.
William Tackett won the main event, defeating Kenta Iwamoto in an energetic battle. Iwamoto demonstrated proficient leglock defenses, but Takcett's aggression earned him the win via points.
Earlier in the night, Igor Tanabe defeated Jacob couch via rear naked choke, utilizing a leg pin pass to establish side control, following it up with a back take.
Also on the main card, Andrew Tackett went full throttle to pass and mount, then submitted Murilo Souza with a kimura.

Murayama attacked in volume, but the always-calm Higuchi was one step ahead throughout the match. Every try of Murayama ended in Higuchi's more successful counter attack sweeps, guard passes, and mount. Eventually, Higuchi earned back control and applied the leg and applied the leg extension from the back take position — a great display of a rare technique from the Paraestra athlete.
