November Absolutely STACKED With Live Events

November marks the coming of two things: 1) Christmas music at every shop in the mall; 2) an absolutely FIRE live events offering on FloGrappling. Can you guess which one we're more excited about?

Over the course of the next four weeks we'll see the return of KASAI, incredible Fight 2 Win Cards, the Finale at Spyder Invitational, and the ADJJWT Abu Dhabi Rio Grand Slam.

F2W 92 - Bill Cooper vs Isiah Wright – Nov. 3

Fight to Win returns to Denver, CO, for its 92nd event featuring over 25 sub-only superfights!

The main event features a generational clash between Isiah Wright, a recently promoted black belt from Amal Easton, taking on one of the American old school jiu-jitsu heroes.

Isiah Wright trains under Amal Easton and Eliot Marshall at Easton BJJ based in Denver, CO, and the rising start has done well on the F2W circuit in the past and holds a notable win over Renato Canuto. Wright recently placed third place at the IBJJF No-Gi Pan Championships earlier this year.

Bill Cooper may be OG but – along with Jeff Glover and Dean Lister – he represented what used to be considered the "new school." That is, American athletes who were doing new, creative things with jiu-jitsu and seeing success at the highest levels.

ADCC North American Trials – Nov. 3

The ADCC 2018 North American East Coast Trials is legitimately one of the toughest no-gi events we've ever seen.

There are teenage phenoms like Nicky Ryan, the Ruotolo Twins, and Roberto Jimenez, KASAI standouts PJ Barch and Ethan Crelenstein, and previous trials medalists Jason Hayden and James Brasco have all entered their hats in the ring in an attempt to qualify for the most prestigious event in all of grappling: ADCC.

Spyder Invitational Fighters  – Nov. 3

Spyder is an event like none other – with brackets spanning the length of an entire year, the 2018 Invitational series will enter its final leg of competition Nov. 3 in Seoul, Korea.

We'll see Paulo Miyao, Jonatha Alves, Masahiro Iwasaki, Kaynan Duarte, DJ Jackson, and many more throw down in an effort to win the year-long title. In a feature unique to the Spyder Invitational, the two champions from each weight category will meet to decide the Spyder Absolute Champion.

Fight  2 Win 93 - Josh Rodriguez vs Osvaldo Queixinho Moizinho  Nov.  9

Another fantastic card from Fight 2 Win sees the promotion return to Scottsdale, AZ, where Ares jiu-jitsu leader Osvaldo "Queixhinho" Moizhino will take on Josh Rodriguez for the Masters Black belt title. The co-main event is a showcase between two of the most promising brown belts in the world – Roberto Jimenez from Alliance and Jake Watson representing Maracaba jiu-jitsu.

As can be expected of any F2W event, there are 20+ more gi and no-gi submission only superfights that will showcase the very best of national and local talent.

KASAI Pro 4 – Nov 10

The event that’s on the tip of everyone’s tongue, KASAI Pro returns with its fourth event and first-ever lightweight Grand Prix. In less than one year of existence, the New York-based promotion has ascended to the top of the professional grappling promotions.

The eight-man round-robin event features

UAEJJF ADGS Rio Grand Slam – Nov. 16-18

The third grand slam of the Abu Dhabi World Jiu-Jitsu tour sees the UAEJJF heading back to the birthplace of jiu-jitsu: Brazil! There are still two weeks to go for athletes to sign up, which means the brackets are far from set, but already we are seeing some interesting names on the registration list.

Among the women's brown/black belt divisions we see World Champion Amanda Monteiro, Sofia Amarante, LA Grand Slam Winner Thamara Silva from Cicero Costha, and rising star Gabrielli Pessanha.

For the men, we've got Hiago Geroge, Isaque Bahiense, Erberth Santos, Rudson Matheus, Kaynan Duarte, Riccardo Evangelista, and Max Geminis.

Fight 2 Win 94 Yuri Simoes vs Tim Spriggs –Nov. 17

The Fight 2 Win San Francisco card couldn't get any hotter if it tried. ADCC Champ Yuri Simoes takes on train-wreck Master Tim Spriggs in a no-gi match for the main event.

We'll also Eddie Cummings return to the F2W stage with a match against the current Masters No-Gi title holder Travis Margalit, and we'll see Bay Area standouts including Samir Chantre, Romulo Melo, Cassio Werneck, Rhalan Gracie, and many, many more.

GrappleFest 3 - Nov. 23

The third installment of Grapplefest returns in November with Matheus Diniz returning to the promotion to face UK stalwart, Dan Strauss.

Co-headling is Gianni Grippo vs Ross Nicholls in a meeting which promises to be a highly technical contest between two of their respective countries most exciting young black belts.

Diniz returns to Grapplefest looking to make amends following a polarizing decision loss to Craig Jones in September. Diniz continues his foray into submission-only matches by meeting Strauss just a couple of weeks after his scheduled match against Gordon Ryan at Kasai 4.
