Gezary Matuda – ATT
Gezary Matuda is a 3x pan Champion representing American Top Team. The Brazilian black belt has been a staple at competitive jiu-jitsu for the better part of 6 years and is a force to be reckoned with. She stands across the bracket from Talita Alencar of Alliance, who narrowly edged Matuda out in the finals of Worlds.

Pati Fontes - Checkmat
Perhaps better known for her no-gi prowess, Pati Fontes is a Checkmat black belt based out of Southern California with multiple titles to her name, including 3x No-Gi Worlds Gold Medals. She’s great at catching ankle locks from anywhere and will seize any moment to jump on her opponent’s back. She took third at Pans in 2016 and will be looking to add yet nother medal to her collection this Sunday.

Talita Alencar – Alliance
Talita Alencar won both Pans and Worlds last year and is looking to cement her reputation as one of the worlds top female black belts by doing the achieving the same level of success this year. She had a bit of rough go in the second half of 2017 after losing out in her opening rounds of ADCC and No-Gi pans, and we're certain the Alliance Star has made some adjustments to her already impressive game.

Bianca Basilio – Atos
At this point, just about everyone knows who Bianca Basilio is – the women who LAUNCHED Tayane Porfirio at Pans in 2017. Bianca is more than just a single throw though, she's the 2017 Black Belt Pan Champion, a brown belt world champion, and ADCC veteran. And she's just 22 years old. Stay tuned, the Bianca Basilio era is just beginning.

Beatriz Mesquita and Jena Bishop – Gracie Humaita
Unfortunately, this division only has two members who both represent Gracie Humaita: the exceptionally talented Jena Bishop and Beatriz Mesquita. It’s unknown at this time if they will fight for first or simply close out and focus on the absolute decision.

Angelica Galvao – Atos
In an unexpected and exciting news, Angelica Galvao has burst back onto the competition scene. Galvao has captured numerous titles as a colored belt, including three pans titles and 2 Worlds Gold medals. She's taken time off from high-level competition to help grow the Atos program and we're pumped to see her back!

Luiza Monteiro – Atos
Luiza Monteiro is a 4x pan champion and one of the most dominant women’s competitors ever. Showing that she’s not content to rest on her laurels, Monteiro and her boyfriend Gustavo Batista switched teams from NS Brotherhood to Atos in hopes of chasing down even championship titles.

Catherine Perret – Checkmat
Perhaps the owner of the most distinctive hair in jiu-jitsu, Cahtiern ‘Kaká’ Perret is an entertainer through and through. Perret has great judo and has been known to send her opponents flying before tuning for the right position to submit. Perret is the 2017 Pan And Worlds Brown belt champion and will be looking to make a statement on Sunday in the elite division.

Carina Santi – G13 BJJ
Carina Santi had an incredible performance against Tayane Porfirio at the 2018 European Champions, narrowly losing the match in the dying moments after putting the alliance black belt in several deep omoplata attempts.

Nathiely Karoline De Jesus – Cicero Costha
Nathiely Karoline De Jesus was promoted to black belt in 2016 after winning double Gold at the World Championships – she followed it up by winning worlds again next, beating Alliance’s Andressa Correa in the process.. Nathiely is in a division of 4 and will likely find herself at the top of the podium once more this weekend.

Fernanda Mazelli – Gracie Humaita
Despite being a 3x World Champion, a Pans title eludes Fernanda Mazeli: her best performance here in Irvine saw her secure the silver medal in 2016.
Jessica Flowers – Gracie Barra
Jessica Flowers is another key athlete to watch in the women’s black heavyweight division. She exploded onto the black belt scene in 2017, winning pans and placing third at both the IBJJF World Championships and ADCC.

Claudia Do Val – De La Riva & Hillary VanOrnum (Impact BJJ)
l Claudia Do Val is the 2017 World Champion and a De La Riva black belt. She shares the division with Hillary VanOrumn out of Impact BJJ and is a masters Worlds Champion. The smart money is on Do Val here, but VanOrumn has the opportunity to shock the world here.
