Early Look: Who's In For The IBJJF 2018 Pan Championships
Officially, here are some of the top names who have already registered to compete at the 2018 Pan Championships.
Registration for the 2018 Pan Championships closes two weeks from today (though the IBJJF could possibly close it early, sign up now if you plan on competing).
The official list of entrants can be found here, but read on for our analysis of the early entries and who may be joining the athlete list very soon.
European champion Koji Shibamoto has already thrown his hat in the ring in the roosterweight division, as have 2017 Pans finalist Marcio Andre and Worlds silver medalist Marcos Tinoco.
Rising black belt stars Johnny Tama and Renato Canuto have both signed up for the lightweight bracket, and the women's divisions are stacking up nicely with early registrations by Kristina Barlaan, Heather Raftery, Catherine Perret, and Jessica Flowers.
Perhaps even more intriguing than the names on the list are those key figures who have yet to register. Below are the names of marquee athletes who have given us verbal confirmation of their intention to compete at Pans.
