Here are the semifinals and finals due to go down on day two of ADCC 2017.
The opening day of the biennial no-gi grappling event proved to be explosive, with underdogs taking out veterans and hot picks from the brackets in the opening rounds.
By the second round the divisions had settled down and the big names started to emerge. Most of the outliers were removed, and we've been left with a number of solid semifinal matches to look forward to.

Pablo Mantovani vs AJ Agazarm
2015 champ Cobrinha will meet Paulo Miyao for the first time ever, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Pablo Mantovani took out 2015 bronze medalist Tanquinho, and will face the durable Agazarm on the other side of the bracket.

JT Torres vs Garry Tonon
Lepri and Rocha, Torres and Tonon. No, not superfights, but semifinals! The 77kg division is straight fire.

Xande Ribeiro vs Gordon Ryan
The so-called 'group of death' has delivered some of the most exciting matches of the tournament, and some of the most impressive finishes. The final four men are all high-caliber grapplers and it's only going to get more competitive from here on out.

Yuri Simoes vs Jackson Sousa
The semifinals in this division contain four very well-known names. 2015 silver medalist Felipe Pena is the #1 seed, but the 2015 88kg champ Yuri Simoes moved up and has looked just as good as you'd expect. Lovato and Sousa earned their places in this hyper-competitive division the hard way, meaning the semis are going to be very interesting.

Buchecha vs Cyborg
An interesting fact is that these semis are repeats of the 2015 final (Sanchez vs Dopp) and the 2013 final (Buchecha vs Cyborg). whatever happens, we'll end up with a new match to look forward to in the final.
Elvira Karppinen. Photo: Hywel Teague / FloGrappling
Michelle Nicolini vs Beatriz Mesquita
Two young guns on one side, two well-known veterans on the other… That sets up an intriguing final whatever happens up to that point.
Gabi Garcia. Photo: Hywel Teague / FloGrappling
Samantha Cook vs Talita Nogueira
Flowers took out Garcia in the 2015 semi final, and the rematch is sure to be heated.
