Keenan Cornelius Dominates at Boston Open; Battles Gianni Grippo In Finals
After a rough start to the year Keenan Cornelius is on a roll.
After a slow start to the year Keenan Cornelius is on a roll.
First it was double gold at American Nationals earlier this month, then the performance against Matheus Diniz at Five Super League. The Atos black belt kept the momentum moving forward with another double gold performance at the IBJJF Boston Summer Open on Saturday.
Keenan took the medium-heavy division with a triangle in the finals. He met Marcelo Garcia black belt Gianni Grippo in the open class finals which made for an excellent display of technical jiu-jitsu. Keenan's worm guard was on full display entangling Grippo and leading to an impressive armbar finish. Check out the match below!
