Lovato Reigns At Fight To Win Pro

On Friday there was Fight To Win Pro 7, which featured the main event no-gi light heavyweight title match between Rafael Lovato Jr and Roberto 'Cyborg' Abreu. Lovato Jr. took the win by decision after a solid 10-minutes of action. 

Submission Underground

On Sunday there was Chael Sonnen's Submission Underground, which featured big names from MMA and grappling going at it under EBI rules. 

Vinny Magalhaes beat Ronny Markes via heel hook in the main event, while Jake Shields beat Chris Lytle via the fastest escapes after a triple OT.

Erberth Unleashes The Beast In Brazil

A week after his second place finish at the Copa Podio Middleweight Grand Prix, Erberth Santos was already back in business. On Friday he won double gold (weight and absolute) at the CBJJE World Championships in Sao Paulo. 

The next day he headed up to Rio and cleared up the Rio Winter Open, choking Jose dos Santos Junior of Alliance in the super heavyweight final before tapping out Patrick Gaudio via kneebar in the absolute final. Monster.

Matheus Diniz Beats Murilo Santana in NYC

The New York Summer Open ran over Saturday and Sunday with gi and no-gi divisions, and probably the most surprising result was seeing Matheus Diniz pass the guard of Murilo Santana in the no-gi absolute final. 

Diniz hit a blast double that put him in side control early in the match and the lead was too big for Santana to regain.
