Bernardo Faria Humble But Confident For IBJJF Pans

2015 Pan super heavyweight and absolute champion Bernardo Faria is a strong favorite to repeat last year’s success and take double gold. As always, the Alliance black belt is humble but confident ahead of this weekend’s bracket. 

“I’m feeling as I always feel. I don’t know what’s going to happen, I did my part, I trained hard, now let’s see. We only know if we’re really ready after the tournament! So I hope I look back after the tournament and can say I was ready. But we never know how it’s going to end up! 

“I saw my brackets but the open class is one day before, and there are no brackets yet. So I’m not even thinking about my division yet. I’m focussed more on the open class. 

“Now let’s see. As I always say, I’m humble, I know I can tap in maybe the first match, but I’m confident that I can go there and win too, so let’s see what will happen.”
