Elisabeth Clay's 2019 has been filled with ups and downs; she suffered some serious injuries and earned results that were unsatisfactory for an athlete of her caliber, but the Ares athlete pushed on.
Despite the setbacks, Clay was promoted to brown belt one month ago – and she was clearly ready: Clay stormed through the medium-heavy and absolute division with eight submission wins - emphatically earning double gold and putting the brown belt rank on notice: the Elisabeth clay era is here.
