Veteran champions Felipe Pena and Rafael Lovato Jr. are set to face off at WNO 23 in a heavyweight no-gi super fight. The two WNO veterans have won at the highest levels throughout their careers and both are ranked in the top-10 in the world for no-gi grappling.

Felipe Pena will take to the WNO mats again after his recent win against Haisam Rida, a match that he almost had to pull out of late with food poisoning. The former ADCC open class champion is well known for his rivalry with Gordon Ryan. He has faced off with Lovato once before, at the 2017 ADCCs where Felipe won by decision.

Rafael Lovato Jr is one of America's best grapplers ever, having won world titles in both gi, no-gi, and MMA. Lovato, now 40, continues to compete at the highest levels of grappling including a top-4 finish at -99kg ADCC Worlds and a close, controversial match for the WNO Light Heavyweight Championship late last year.
