Gordon Ryan and Keenan Cornelius went at it today in a submission-only superfight at the Grappling Industries event in New York.
The no-gi match was a no time-limit, submission-only affair. That meant the match would keep going until somebody tapped. There were no points, and no breaks.
After almost 90 minutes of action Gordon Ryan tapped out Keenan Cornelius with an inside heelhook. This marks the first time Keenan has ever been beaten in a submission-only match.

Born 8. July 1995, Ryan is a black belt under John Danaher and represents the Renzo Gracie fight team. He trains alongside no-gi specialists Garry Tonon and Eddie Cummings and is one of the most prolific members of the 'Danaher Death Squad', an unofficial team of competitors who have popularized the use of leg locks (particularly heel hooks) in grappling superfights.
Gordon Ryan received his black belt at 20 years of age and would go on to win the openweight EBI 6 tournament in April of this year.
